Less is More.

I admit that sometimes I make mistakes with my own clothing choice.
However, I have learned a few things from my mistakes. Sometimes it takes a little more effort to cover
up. Finding an extra piece of clothing to achieve a decent look is a bit tedious but all the more WORTH ITRevealing outfits does not make you "tush" or trendy.
Dressing modestly does not necessarily mean wearing a big boring dress that starts from your neck to
toes. Modesty is decency in dressing but still fashionable and PANACHE.

I have a favourite quote: IN SIMPLICITY LIES SOPHISTICATION AND DRESSING WELL IS A FORM OF GOOD MANNERS.
Here are some few practical tips that can help you measure up.
1. The right skirt,dress or pant will let you sit, climb or jump without feeling too exposed.
2.You can dance at a party feeling comfortable. Just Try a little warm up exercise before leaving your
 house.
3.Sleeves need not be too long(we are in a tropical country) but it is nice to keep those arms unexposed.
4.Bend and snap.Choose a neckline that let's you bend without worries.
5. It is not the right shirt/top if you keep checking on your bra strap.

Your clothes define you!

Style is nothing without Fit.

Body shape is all about proportion, and fashion is all about dressing those proportions to look their very best. Each of us is unique and so are our bodies.
To dress your body right, you have to know your body. Don't just guess
(Believe me, mirrors can be deceiving!)

Wearing the right clothes shouldn't be about following the latest fashion trends; it should be about
choosing what actually suits you and what makes you feel comfortable and confident.
Knowing your basic body shape and understanding the types of clothes that will accentuate your good
features (and minimise your less than perfect bits).
Today, there are options to choose from so you'll always be able to find something that will complement your body shape.

#1: Hourglass Body Shape
The name says it all. This body shape is curvy in all the right places: bust and booty. It’s pretty much a universal perception of what is
womanly and attractive. Pencil skirts in a solid color show of curves and leave much to the imaginationintriguing!

#2: Apple body Shape
women with an apple body shape have smaller shoulders and hips. They also tend to have slender legs and a slim booty. All fit!
you should avoid ; Wearing belts whether big or small, Sleeves which finish next to your bust,Any details;fuss and volume near bust, tummy or hip area e.g.double breasted coats or jackets, high-waisted trousers or waistbands Skirt above knee length,Excessive fabric in the mid section.

#3:Inverted triangle body shape
Your bottom half is smaller than your top,Little definition between waist and hips,Flat hips and bottoms,Straight and squared shoulder line.
You should avoid; Necklines that make you broader on top, pencil skirts or skinny jeans.

#4:Rectangular body shape
Narrow shoulders,Flat chest or small bust,Small and non-defined waist,Narrow hips and flat bottom.
you should avoid; Figurehugging garments Long straight fitted lines in dresses, trousers and sleeves Topssquare necklines,Shapeless jackets; loose or droopy styles that hang.

#5: Pear Body shape
Your lower body is wider than your upper body, in other words, your hips are wider than your shoulders.
-Your bottom is rounded and your waist is well-defined.
-Your best assets: Shoulders, torso and flat stomach
Your fashion goals: Emphasize your waist and arms, add volume to your shoulders and upper body and minimize your hips.
Look for tops that will help balance your lower half while accentuating your defined waist:
-WideVorUnecks,offtheshoulder,boat-neck tops and with ruffles.Experiment with Bright colors and bold patterns.
-wear Jackets that hit right above the waist
- Embellishments/strong details around the shoulders and bust.
Look for bottoms that will de-emphasize your hips,Avoid details such as embellished pockets.

The perfect shoe for your outfit.

While I was growing up, I never gave a big deal to shoes... I could wear anything on my feet as long as my clothes were smashing!
Along the line, I discovered your shoes actually make the outfit.

Today, We would be looking at different shoe types to suit your outfit.
Of course, You've spent hours piecing together the perfect wardrobe combination. Don't ruin it with the wrong pair of shoes!(But hey, no pressure.)

STILETTOS
Stilettos  make your legs look amazing. Wear these shoes with pencil skirts or slim pants. Avoid wearing stilettos with mini skirts. There is a fine line between stylish and trashy, and that pairing crosses it.

BALLET FLATS
Ballet flats lend a trendy yet ladylike touch to an outfit- it never goes out of style. Wear with a pretty, ab0ve-the knee skirt, dress or crop shorts. Avoid wearing ballet flats with long skirts (too dowdy) or skinny pants
(too unproportional, unless you have narrow hips).

Kitten heels
The kitten heel is your can't-go-wrong choice, as long as you're not dressing for the gym. This practical alternative to the pump works with both office attire and evening wear, and the shorter heel makes them super-comfortable.

FLIP FLOPS
As comfortable as these supercasual shoes are, they are not meant for anywhere other than the beach or the spa and if you must
run errands.

Use this guide to figure out what shoe to wear with what outfit, and you'll be sure to always step out in
style.

Manage your wardrobe

I saw a friend's wardrobe yesterday and my heart sank, so I decided to share my 3 favorite tips on how to manage your wardrobe.
When you open your wardrobe,do you always look for that hot pink chiffon dress? In order to get the
most out of your wardrobe you need  to know what is in it.

#1. Declutter:
Research has shown that we wear only 25% of what we buy. This is a staggering waste of money.
Wardrobes need tough love, throw or give out anything you have never worn or that does not fit or suit
you.Why keep clothes you don't like/wear? If you can't face this alone use a Personal Stylist to help you. Your wardrobe needs to breathe.

#2. Sort by Category
Long dresses, short dresses, skirts, trousers etc. Then sort by colour. This makes life easy rather than scrabbling through random items we can then find the pencil skirt in one minute. Your clothes should all
co-ordinate with each other so finding tops to go with skirts becomes simplicity itself.

#3. Survey
Check your wardrobe regularly for what needs mending, cleaning or throwing( I recommend once in two weeks); holey tights or pants, wilting shirts, unbrushed suits/blazer, and little opening on your heel shoes make even the most expensive outfit appear suitable only for the trash. Regular maintenance will save
you money.
Out of sight is out of mind. Yes, even with clothes too!

Stay beautiful.

5 Essentials for every wardrobe

How often do you find yourself standing in front of a closet full of clothes and saying to yourself that you have nothing to wear?

Are you sick and tired of feeling like you wear the same thing day after day?

Essential #1: A black blazer.
It could be worn to an important meeting or a casual hangout with friends. It will definitely add some flair to your outfit.

Essential #2: White button up collared shirt.
No woman should go without this one simple piece. You can even throw your black blazer on it and layer for a great look.

Essential #3: Multi-colored T-shirts.
You should always have a t-shirt that's black, one that's white and others in colors.
It could be worn with a blazer, sweater, or denim jackets.

Essential #4: A pair of jeans that fit perfectly.
Pay attention to the back pockets as their placement can either lift or drop your bottom. Get a jean that accentuate your body shape.

Essential #5: A pair of black shoes.
You need to have shoes that go with your clothes. Black is the signature color here. Some stylists recommend heels while others flat. I recommend you wear what suits the occasion.

With these things to keep in mind you should be able to dress up without any form of confusion.

Edit your wardrobe!

Most times, the reason most of us have the same problem of too much clothes but nothing to
wear is because of our UNEDITED Wardrobe.

Your clothes need breathing room! You should be able to see every item without rummaging.

I think you should consider donating anything you haven't worn in the past year.
I would rather call it Sowing!

Like I always say, Out of sight is out of mind. You need to see your clothes in order to wear them.

Happy editing friends. (•Ë†⌣ˆ•)
Stay PANACHE!

If you still don't know how to edit? OR
you love all your clothes too much to sow or donate?
I can help you.

WEAR ANIMAL PRINT IN SMALL DOSES!

I know a lot of you don't need to be convinced to wear animal print, but I'm surprised by how many
people I talk to that still have a bad stigma of it.

I get it.  There are pink/purple/metallic animal printed hats and leggings that people
actually wear.  (Dear Lord, WHY?)
Animal prints should actually be worn in small doses. You don't want to look like a leopard itself.
When it comes to animal print, you prefer a purr to a roar. A little of this bold look can go a long way.

You can start with a belt,bag, scarf, flat shoes, or even a small animal print clutch. No need wearing everything animal print.
Remain Stylish.

Stripes and Blazers!

I have 6 blazers which might sound crazy. I still want more but in other colors though.

There is so much PANACHE when you wear a blazer over a striped tee or button- up shirt.

It is absolutely stunning.

You should try it out this weekend probably to church on Sunday.

Make a list before you shop

Is your closet filled with the same type of items?
Making a list before you shop is an easy way out. The list does not contain things you want to buy,but at least 10 favorite items in your closet.
This will help you zero in on what you own and don't need to buy.
Shopping made easy!

Own a Scarf

Instead of a necklace, try a soft loop bright fabric to transform a mundane outfit instantly.
It's fun and a simple way to mix prints. wrap it once or twice around your neck, letting both ends loose and you are good to go.
A scarf is an ultimate accessory for every lady!

Go hands free for evenings.

A dressy bag with a chain helps you look simple but yet classy. it gives a cool edge to your evening wear.
wear the chain diagonally across your body for he best effect.

White tee

Have you ever tried pairing your dressy jacket, sweater, pattern or colored pants or even floral skirt and couldn't even find anything to pair them with?
it is probably because you are lacking an essential perfect white tee.
Do you know a white tee is priceless?
it is perhaps one o the most fundamental basics that every girl should have in her wardrobe.

It can go with anything and makes it all a lot better.

Happy pairing.

LAYERING PIECES

There is always a new way to wear your old pieces. Today's tip is to show you how to Layer and Remix your button-up shirt.

There are so many types of button-ups to choose from: the standard white button-up shirt, silk blouses, plaid shirts, chambray, etc.

You can layer Under or Layer Over.

Layering Under means you can layer your button- up shirt under something. It could be a sweater, a vest or a cardigan.

Layering Over means you could wear your button - up shirt over things like dresses, tees, tanks, etc.

I think you should try experimenting. It's fun and stress free.

Have a great weekend and happy remixing!
